Largely executed in charcoal /graphite/acrylic on translucent paper, these works express in tones of greys, black and small caresses of colour the palpable quality of tactile sensuality. The images are larger than life depicting macroscopic views of knots and cordage. In rendering the knots oversize, the drawings embody both a source of tension and intimacy.
The title refers to the three fates Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos. Lachesis as the fate which measures the length of life bestowed, also determines one’s destiny.
